Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lt. 2008 was the year superhero movies started to be good. First Iron Man, and then The Dark Knight.
This is a very good movie. Heath Ledger gives a fantastic performance, Christian Bale is great as a complex hero. The soundtrack is powerful, FX are brilliant… I loved it.
The cinematography of this movie took me away. Almost everything was carefully planned, designed and framed to look good on so many levels: emotionally, aesthetically, physically.
One of the best works of director Christopher Nolan and actor Heath Ledger (who really wowed me given I watched Brokeback Mountain before I watched this [and his role there sort of stereotyped me in my mind]).
