Goodfellas (1990)

Three Decades of Life in the Mafia.
Henry Hill is a small time gangster, who takes part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to climb up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, is badly affected by his partners success, but will he stoop low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy?

I sadly saw this movie right after The Godfather so it didn't blow my mind like it should have.
If you love The Sopranos, this is a no-brainer. You already know half the cast!
If you're a human being and thus like good movies, then you're in for a treat. On top of a fantastic cast, you'll surely appreciate Scorsese's direction… that one shot scene when he arrives in the bar and greets everyone, oh my!

Drugs, cocaine, guns, Italian, Irish, mobster. The real question is: why did she stay with a man who stick a gun in his pants so deep that only the tip of the grip is visible? This makes no sense!
This movie needs the label "Watch this before The Godfather" .

My favorite mafia movie. It covers the post-Godfather, post-Scarface period, right before The Sopranos.
