Inception

Inception (2010)

Your mind is the scene of the crime.
Dom Cobb is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible - inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming.

Wow. A perfect movie. Awesome and really complicated which leads to endless debates not only about The End but also about how you perceived and understood the whole story. The universe Nolan created is rich and thoughtful. Its rules are precisely established in the beginning. The specials effects are really cool (there is a *zero-gravity fight*, so you'd better be buying a ticket right now), the casting is really great (after Juno and Whip It, Ellen Page enters the big stage and deserves it). A little bit disappointed by Marion Cotillard performance and Hanz Zimmer's soundtrack (there is no theme you can clearly identify), but everything else is just perfect. I can't wait to watch it again, and again!

I had no expectations about this movie: was it going to be good or bad? Not at all. Nolan is just a sheer genius. I just knew it would be awesomely awesome. He knows how to create parallel worlds and take the watcher in his crazy mind.

I bet i'm not the only one to have experienced this: at the end of the movie, every single person in the room screamed in surprise, totally astonished to feel "trapped" and surprised by Nolan. I hardly remember any other movie that have done that to a Generation.

If I had just one thing to say, I'd ask Nolan why he did not emphasize on the wallet. This f**cking magic wallet...

The weakest link for this movie is how unidentifiable and distinct Hans Zimmer's soundtrack is.

I wish my dreams were orchestrated by Hans Zimmer.

The only debate for me is this one: Why is Leo happy?

I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me but I really didn't enjoy this movie. I simply couldn't believe that I'm the only one in this case,Come on ! the plot is crap, the realization is rubbish and it looks like the actor are trying too hard...

Maybe I'm an old fart, but this movie success is a complete mystery for me !
